The artworks represent a priest and a houewife while greeting in an interior, created with delicate lines through intense black, showing their emotion through simplicity and intimacy.
Gabriele Galantara(1867-1937), journalist and one of the major Italian caricaturists and satirical designers. The Donkey was a political satire magazine in 1892, the year of the first Giolitti ministry and the establishment of the Italian Socialist Party, The magazine was conceived by Guido Podrecca, a Carduccian university student, positivist and socialist, and by Gabriele Galantara, brilliant cartoonist and puppeteer, also a socialist. The two assumed the pseudonyms of "Goliardo" (Podrecca) and "Rata Langa" (Galantara), and with these nicknames, they signed the issues of the weekly.
