Caricature by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) for the fourth year of the 1941 Broadway thriller, `Angel Street`, starring Vincent Price & Judith Evelyn. Directed by Shepard Traube, designed by Lemuel Ayers & Helene Pons, featuring Leo G Carroll, Florence Edney & Elizabeth Eustis, the show ran 12/05/41-9/30/44 at the John Golden Theatre; 10/02/44-12/30/44 at the Bijou. This drawing appeared in the New York Herald Tribune on Sun Dec 3, 1944. This legendary show was a staple of WWII Broadway, seen by hundreds of thousands of servicemen on leave.
