Caricatures by George Wachsteter (1911-2004) of Patrick McGoohan as agent John Drake in British ITC TV `The Danger Man`, (1st version as aired in England, 1960-62) which was picked up by CBS-TV as a summer replacement series from April 5 to Sept 13, 1961. It resurfaced 4 years later on CBS again with McGoohan in his same role as Drake but in a revamped one-hour format and retitled `Secret Agent`, where it was a hit, especially due to its theme song by Johnny Rivers. Artwork probably to promote the 1961 CBS summer broadcasts. Most likely for the New York Herald Tribune. 8" x 10 1/2" cardstock.
