Artist Biography:
Evan Stuart Marshall is an award-winning contemporary abstract painter based in Roseland, New Jersey. Born in Boston and raised in Sharon, Massachusetts, he lives and works in Roseland, New Jersey. Largely self-taught, Evan has received numerous awards for his work, including the Mary Koether Merit Award from the West Essex (New Jersey) Art Association. His work has been featured in many juried exhibitions, both solo and group, and is held in many private collections around the world. His artwork is carried by major online retailers including Homesquare, Houzz, Kmart, Pier 1, Walmart and Wayfair. One of Evan’s paintings was recently selected by the renowned curator and art consultant Paige Powell (once a member of Andy Warhol’s Factory, and at one time the girlfriend of Jean-Michel Basquiat) for inclusion in the permanent art collection of the new MC Hotel in Montclair, New Jersey. And three other paintings have recently been included in an exhibition at the Montclair (New Jersey) Art Museum. About the Artist
Artist Rick "Marlowe" Schneider creates mixed-media collages, combining the use of handmade paper with a raised dimensional technique. "This process produces distinct shadows which make the imagery jump off the canvas," says Rick. His work is a contemporary nod to 1930s and 1940s graphic design. By bringing together bold color combinations and patterns with quirky typefaces, Rick's work embodies the fun and elegant movie posters of Hollywood's Golden Age. Inspiration for his narratives comes from his father who was a pulp fiction writer. His loft studio in Leland, North Carolina, houses his archive of pulp magazines and stories from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. "My workspace is cluttered with canvases and handmade paper that I have imported from Thailand. It may be impossible to walk around but the atmosphere is perfect for creating."

Mark A. Lembo Script M Abstract Art Mark’s dynamic work blurs the distinction between alcohol ink and watercolor - working with dyes, inks, liquid acrylic, liquid watercolor, and other aqueous media; lately, he has been incorporating metallic watercolor and pearlescent ink to his work. He has used canvas, synthetic Yupo™ paper, Yasutomo Mineral Paper, and various watercolor papers. Mark’s journey into the world of creative arts started with the question, “What would Jackson Pollock’s work look like if he had used transparent watercolors?” So, it was out with the pencils, pens, and brushes, and on to the pouring of various aqueous solutions. Resin-based art has clean, sharp lines and a definitive shape. Resin is a liquid that hardens to a high-gloss surface and is used to seal wood, counters and floors. Resin can also seal artwork, and many artists tint it using pigment powder, ink, spray paint and other vivid materials. If water is added, the resin will turn milky instead of being completely transparent. It’s common for artists working in mixed media to use resin on nontraditional surfaces like glass, wood, metal and stone. This creates a shine that’s perfect to brighten a dull space in the home or office.
