Trent Alvey is known as a mixed-media artist who uses painting, sculpture, light and sound technique in the creation of works that have been called both “pop” and “contemporary”. She holds a BFA from Westminster College. For this body of work “Emergent Collages” Alvey uses prepared painted paper surfaces, some magazine images, portions of her own printed photography and some mark making, tearing randomly, then proceeding from whatever the shape suggests.

The gestural paintings of Hyunmee Lee are sumptuously minimal. Rich forms advance from buttery canvases like an abstract garden.
