Artist's Commentary:
"The work was created with the support of canvas, but the acrylic and oil colors were first applied on a primer. This primer is made of paper and micro cement. This dried mixture will then make a so-called 'texture' in the future, i.e. a working surface, into which to place our colours. All this is done to make the observer see a surface with cracks, small bumps, cuts and an unpredictable surface where the eye will be able to see something different in every part despite it being a monochrome blue piece. The meaning of the painting lies in the title, a dive into marine blue, a dive into sea water. If you have ever dived into sea water you will know that in addition to salt there can be many dangers related to water or not knowing how to swim. The painting is an example of what relationships are like with everything around us. At first everything seems blue, everything is beautiful, then you have to fight for your goal with various obstacles (this is the reason for the texture), finally only those who are resistant and don't give up will be able to see their dream come true. This painting is a wish for daily resistance against the pitfalls of society."
About the Artist:
Alessio has been drawing and painting since the age of 10, then he graduated from the Martini Art Institute and attended the Academy in Florence. He works in the advertising field (Leodari advertising) and in the logistics sector (SMIPA). He paints at night and in his free time, until all this is no longer enough and he begins a journey fully dedicated to painting. ARTISTIC FEATURES Alessio's work is focused on the abstract vision of reality. His art is an interpretation of nature and the perception of it filtered by his mind. His way of representing the world is meditative and conceptual. Alessio finds inspiration from the minimalism and abstract expressionism of the New York School, such as Rothko or Pollock but also by Basquiat and Kline.His paintings are often a purification of the original image, created to inspire the observer to think and ask questions about what he sees through his critical sense.Everything is created by him in an analogical way , with discreet colors, and with taste, without excesses or strong tones. Brushes, spatulas, rags and with the help of various materials (including construction) are the tools to make his work possible
