About the Item
Elizabeth builds the wooden structure giving the piece a solid surface to work with. These pieces are encaustic and hand rubbed. She uses a torch to accomplish the dark colored nuances you see by heating up the materials.
Any small bubbles or marks are a natural occurrence making each piece unique. This work takes time, Silver leaf and Gold leaf are often used. Burnished in and hand rubbed they don’t disappoint.
