City Life is an original diptych by artist Fleur Park. Featuring a patchwork composition in bright and bold colours and a layered almost impasto mark making. The juxtaposition of these two is seen in most of her work. The fields that surround her in her country life and in her childhood give her the sense of home and space yet the pull of the city is always there with the bright lights and skyscrapers. Colour is also an important factor for Fleur as she is influenced by nature and natural raw colours found within the environment.

Fleur Park studied to fine art and history of art at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle. After pursing a history of art career in the art world, Fleur has finally come back to her love of painting.
