"Birth of the City's Music" is a work from the "City Stories" series that immerses the viewer in a world of sounds, rhythms, and impulses that create the unique atmosphere of a metropolis. The composition conveys the morning tuning of the city's sounds, as the stillness of the night gives way to the rhythm of the day, and everything begins to awaken at its own pace.
This work brings together the scattered elements of the urban soundscape into a harmonious melody. These are not random noises, but a synchronization of living, pulsating rhythms that gradually encompass the entire city. Abstract forms and rhythmic compositions give the viewer the freedom to interpret the work through their own associations — some will hear the hum of cars, others — the footsteps of passersby or the awakening of city parks.
The music of the morning city symbolizes a new beginning — it gives strength and prepares us to face the challenges of the new day. Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist born in 1974 in Donetsk. She received education in clothing design. From 1993 to 2021, she successfully worked as a fashion designer,
participating in international exhibitions. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv, and in 2022,
she left fashion to focus on art. Iryna explores beauty through figurative and abstract
forms, offering viewers new perspectives on fragility and anti-fragility. Her clothing
design skills continue to inspire her creative process and contribute to the
development of new ideas in art.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist who explores fragility and anti-fragility as key themes
in her work. She transforms complex emotions and challenges into sources of inner
strength, zest for life, and harmony. Her art aims to prompt viewers to reconsider
