About the Item
“Points of Contact “ second painting in the “Dance with a Fan” series
Each work in the polyptych “Points of Contact” reveals moments of unity and interaction through the imagery of dance. These are points of intersection—of bodies, emotions, energies, and elements—that connect the dancers in a rhythm leading them to harmony. Here, each work becomes part of a narrative, creating a shared rhythm in which the dance conveys essential life stories.
The dancers seem to act at the crossroads of various elements and energies: the earth beneath their feet, water and air symbolized by the lightness of white splashes, and fire, reflected in the red and golden accents. In each composition, energy unfolds differently—from calculated combat precision to passionate impulsiveness. These dances demonstrate how movement becomes not only an expression of emotions but also a way to engage with the world.
Each work in the polyptych has its individuality, but together they form a unified rhythm, reflecting complex relationships between humans, nature, and the inner world. “Points of Contact” is not just about the physical contact of dancers but also about their interaction with the viewer’s perception, music, the surrounding environment, and themselves. It is an invitation to reflect on how movement creates stories and opens new horizons.
