Blossoms and flowers with Love (written on painting) and a spring mélange is a creation by Judith W Winslow (American 1943- 2023).
Image, 40"H x 30"W x 1"D
painting is painted to the edges of the stretcher bars for frame free hanging if desired.
Signed lower right "Winslow 2012"
A copy of her book, which pictures this work, "the Arrangement" a story about "Mystic Adventures in Big Sur" (Fiction) is included.
JW Winslow (American 20th c) was a writer, poet, TV producer, and television show personality. Winslow was a fascinating artist from Big Sur California. She came to the Monterey peninsula in the 1990s on a business trip. A chance decision to walk on the beach near Fisherman's wharf cut the mold for J W right then and there. She moved to Monterey and at first lived in Pacific Grove. Later she moved to Carmel Woods in a small artists cottage. Over the years she developed and style and method, including using recycled materials, and created her own style. Many locals came to her studio to purchase her works. She took work at a local Cannery row architectural firm to pay the bills. Later she found her home to be Big Sur, her spiritual and artistic base of operations. As a successful radio personality, she was asked to create a TV show on art and artists. She had numerous shows on local and Community television.
