Janet Hamilton created this modern abstract based on a rainy day. "The rainy day offers such a motivational feeling when I paint," says Janet. "I love how it brings focus into my work." Vivd teal and gold colors suggest a feeling of relaxation. Geometric and organic elements balance the composition and suggest rain falling on architectural elements.

Janet Hamilton is an abstract expressionist who creates heavily-textured and multi-layered paintings. She is an Illinois-based artist whose studio space is a converted library complete with stained glass windows, a balcony and fireplace.
