About the Item

Artist Comments
Artist Karen Hansen presents a calming abstract in luminous hues of green. Part of her atmospheric Forest Bathing series, which uses limited palettes in calming gradations. "Forest bathing is a practice that encourages people to simply spend time in nature to promote physical and mental well-being," shares Karen. "Each breath in meditation is a unique experience." The triptych piece captures an expression of her meditations from the experience.

About the Artist
Karen’s abstract paintings are best described as an exploration in color. Often monochromatic, her work is a meditative and serene improvisation in the movement and depth of paint. Whether executed in earthy shades or vibrant tones, each painting evokes a different mood for the viewer’s contemplation. Karen’s body of work gives a gentle nod to the Color Field movement of the 20th Century, grounding her portfolio solidly within the evolving story of contemporary art.
