Patterns 150.0 x 100.0 x 1.0, 1.0 lbs Acrylic Hand signed by artist Artist's Commentary: "Patterns (2010) The collection reveals patterns that we select and follow, either consciously or subconsciously, in our life. patterns which may affect significant aspects of our life." About the Artist: "Leila Rezvani I was born in 1986 in Tehran, the capital of Iran. I got admitted to the painting BA program at Alzahra University in 2006, and graduated in 2010 with the average GPA of 18.16 (out of 20). My general interest in photography motivated me to participate in the Shouka Photography Festival in 2008, which resulted in the selection of one of my works for exhibition in the Iranian Artists Forum in 2010. During the BA program, I worked on a series of drawings of everyday surrounding objects, mainly represented in a deformed shape. The result was my first solo exhibition in the Iranian Caricature Forum in 2009. Sewing machine was the subject matter of my drawings for the next few years. Sewing machine has a complex structure and form and, I found this feature interesting and proper for drawing. I tried to focus on different forms and deformations of sewing machine from different aspects. In addition to form, I worked on different palettes of colors in my paintings, and finally submitted this collection as my BA project/dissertation. Part of this collection displayed in 2010 two group exhibitions in the Garden Museum of Iranian Art and the Art Gallery, and the rest were exhibited in different competitions and festivals that mentioned in my résumé. In 2011, one of my paintings was published as part of the best collection of ‘the Damon Far Festival of visual Arts’. In the same year, I participated in the First Major Painting Market, in which eight pieces of my paintings were sold. In 2010, I got admitted into the MA painting program at the School of Art and Architecture of the Azad University in Tehran. In continuous with my previous work, and in order to present a new conception in my work during the MA, I launched a new project entitled ‘A Critical Look at Fashion in Iran’. By applying different elements, both new and those present in my previous work, I tried to display how fashion works in Iran. I named this collection ‘the Patterns’, the patterns that somehow affects our life, and humans follow them either consciously or subconsciously. This collection was exhibited in the Barg Gallery in 2012. In the same year, I submitted my MA dissertation under the title ‘An Analysis of Pop Art Elements in the Iranian Contemporary Art’. The connection between my dissertation and my paintings in these two years are quite clear. In 2012, I graduated in the master degree of painting with the general GPA of 19.09 (out of 20). In 2011, I joined the Iranian Painters Society, and participated in various group exhibitions of this society at the Iranian Artists Forum. Participating in ‘the Eighth Two-Yearly National Iranian Painting’ and ‘Shamseh Visual Art Festival’ was among other activities in these years, for which I received certificate of appreciation and cash award. Some of my paintings also published in ‘the Collection of Visual Arts’ by Yasavoli Culture & Art Publication. In addition, I again participated in the Second Major Painting Market in 2012. In the same year, one of my paintings from the “Time’ collection, were selected for the ‘Action, Presentation and Creativity’, and was further exhibited in the Mahe Mehr Gallery. In the same year, some of my paintings, together with the work of other pretty well known artists, were exhibited at the Iranian Artists Forum. Two of my paintings got admitted into ‘the Forth Two-Yearly Damon Far Festival of Visual Arts’ and were published in a book. Three of my paintings also got admitted into ‘the Six Weeks with Iranian Art In Canada’ festival, and were exhibited in the Queen gallery in Toronto. In 2014, I also participated in the group exhibition entitled ‘Close Vision: Body’ at Gondwana gallery in Berlin. In 2013, I began a new project entitled ‘the Common Dream’, which mainly concerns women and their daily life, which draws on personal and impersonal notions of consciousness. The result was a solo painting exhibition at Mah gallery in 2014. In 2015, I had another solo painting exhibition entitled ‘Representation’. The collection presented femininity and nature. , I also participated in three group exhibition in Mah gallery. I took place in an art residency in Cite International Des Arts for 2 months in 2015. I also took a complete course on ‘chalcography technique’ in the Charsoo Art Institute. In addition, I have been teaching courses on ‘drawing’, ‘basics of visual arts’ and ‘elements of colors’ at the Higher Educational Center for Cultural Heritage for nearly two years. In 2019, after passing the brilliant talent test and getting the first rank, I started studying art research at the PHD level of the faculty of art and architecture. I am currently writing my thesis entitled 'The Nature of Contemporary Art in the Context of Artificial Intelligence'. Among other activities that you might find it interesting is my preoccupation with music. It is more than 12 years that I am playing violin, and during this time I have been working on a string quartet, and have had different performances. In 2007, I achieved the first rank in the Second Festival of all the Schools Across the country, a competition between 2050 music schools. In 2010, I joined the Violet Symphony Orchestra, and had performances on different occasions and halls, including in Vahdat hall."

Independent, Original Contemporary Abstract Painting Original abstract painting 60 x 48 x 1.5 inches Oil on canvas Original artwork signed by the artist Artwork is unframed, images containing frames are sample imagery only In the artist's words: Our life could be seen through windows. Different planes framing the continuous changes in our soul and relationships between each other and our surroundings. There are different ways of viewing ourselves, either from the inside or the outside... An open window, like an open mind, gives us flexibility and capacity to accept changes and flow with them into an ever changing world. We feel, we dream, we lose, we conquer, we grow—all the while juxtaposing our experiences, giving them a different dimension with varying points of view, willingly or unwillingly. Untitled Mohammad Ariyaei Contemporary Iranian art painting oriental art drawing
By Mohammad Ariyaei
Located in Paris, FR
Acrylic paint on paper Hand-signed by the artist Unique work THE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS OF MOHAMMAD ARIYAEI " Gentleness and oriental wisdom follow the supercharged bubbling to which we were accustomed from the previous deliberately art brut exhibition by Mohammad ARIYAEI. The Iranian painter's imagination moves serenely from the wildest frenzy to the meditative calm of great, fabulous stories. The artist then took pleasure in pouring the volcanic torrent of his barbaric figures onto the delicate latticework with which he is accustomed to lining his backgrounds with the patience of an illuminating monk. Already sweetness and paroxysm coexisted. Now gentleness wins. The trained imagination of the painter, yet spontaneously bubbling, by instinct as much as by erudition, has no difficulty in reconnecting with the abundant oriental tradition of the thousand and one nights, which, like a long underground river, resurfaces at the light of his painting. Spring renewal of traditions still alive. Systematic filling of space, a sort of oriental version of the Riches Heures...
