About the Item
This painting, titled "Empowered Unity", is created by French artist Natalya Mougenot as part of her series exploring womanhood. In this work, she delves into the profound connections and bonds between women, highlighting their ability to support one another as both a rock and a shelter. At the core of this painting lies the idea of unity—both the emotional and psychological support these women bring to each other, and the broader concept of unity between all people. Through abstract expressionism, the artwork powerfully conveys the essence of human connection. Two women, intertwined in a dynamic embrace, dominate the canvas, their bold and flowing brushstrokes creating a sense of movement. Mougenot employs a vibrant palette of warm reds, oranges, and yellows, contrasted with cooler blues and greens, evoking warmth, intimacy, and emotional depth. The faceless forms suggest universality, inviting the viewer to connect personally with the piece. The golden background enhances the women, creating an ethereal quality that emphasizes their relationship. This work stands out for its emotional resonance, highlighting the raw, essential nature of human bonds without the need for intricate details.
Painted in Natalya’s Lyon studio, the piece will be carefully packaged and shipped from France, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Please note that colors may vary slightly due to differences in monitor settings. The painting is signed on both the front and back and includes a stamp for further verification.
Created with acrylics on heavyweight, acid-free Italian professional paper, the work is finished with a glossy varnish to protect against dust and fading.
It is sold unframed, with framed images provided as a reference, offering you the freedom to display it in a style that suits your personal taste.

Natalya Mougenot id a french artist living in France for more than 20 years. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. In her artistic practice she refers to the terms of metamodernism, which proposes to look at the world from the position of the inner adult. As an artist and as a woman she translates the experience of her personal search for balance based on harmony between mind, soul and body. This balance, in her opinion, is the pillar for the inner adult. Important components of her work are authenticity, soulfulness, sincerity, emotionality and honesty. She immerses the objects and the characters in the world where there is no falsity, rudeness, loneliness and indifference. She works rapidly and is constantly sensitive to the details. Her artistic process is a fine balance between a pre-meditation and spontantainty which helps her to create her expressive atmospheric artworks with a modern touch of impressionism by cultivating a naive art approach. Natalya manipulates different mediums without a preconceived plan since she is guided by what she wants to express at the moment by embracing the quality of my materials. She does not deny that her artworks reflect her intuitive approach and her love for vibrant colors which represent her who she is. Natalya says she is never able to create the same piece more than once. Sometimes she paints from photos or images. Sometimes she paints from memory. She tells to herself : "Just be yourself when you create ".

Amoureuses by Grégoire Mathias — Acrylic — Bold Cubist Portrait of Two Women
Located in PÉRIGUEUX, FR
Amoureuses (Women in Love)
Acrylic on Canvas
41 x 33 cm
In Amoureuses, Greg Mathias delivers an emotionally charged dual portrait that merges bold modernism with raw intimacy. Two female figures emerge from a tapestry of angular lines, fragmented planes, and vibrant contrasts. Black contours define and disrupt the forms, while saturated reds, yellows, and earth tones highlight the figures' lips, hair, and eyes with almost theatrical intensity.
Mathias’s Diachronic Cubism is palpable in this compact yet powerful composition. The faces appear to hold more than one emotional state or temporal expression, inviting the viewer to imagine multiple layers of affection, memory, or desire unfolding across time. The figures are both stylized and expressive—unified yet distinct—suggesting a narrative of closeness, duality, or romantic introspection.
Executed in acrylic on canvas, this smaller-format work makes an immediate impact and is well-suited for collectors of contemporary figurative cubism. It’s a standout piece for those interested in bold color palettes, emotional resonance, and distinctive portraits with modern edge.
Perfect for:
Collectors of modern figurative cubism, lovers of expressive portraiture, and buyers seeking a compact yet high-impact artwork. Ideal for interiors emphasizing bold lines, vibrant colors, and character-driven contemporary art.
