About the Item
Abstract artist Paul Kirley creates visual experiences that connect people to place as though they were dreaming. Links between reality and contemporary abstraction are created as a series of painted layers and gestures, yielding a vibrant abstract landscape. The creative process of each original artwork presents opportunities to live fully immersed in the stories and places of our dreams.
This heavy textured abstract landscape painting is 13 inches high by 16 inches wide. Kirley created this one-of-a-kind artwork with layers of colorful acrylic paint on canvas, filled with expressive movements and circular lines. It is framed in a natural wood frame. Size and price include frame. It is signed by the artist on the back of the artwork and can be installed vertically as well as horizontally. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Kirley grew up in a family of artists and designers. Art was an integral part of his life as a child. Kirley’s artistic influences vary; from a connection to landscape, buildings, and family memories, to architecture, history, and landscaping. He discovered both photography and a love of fifties abstract expressionist painting in his teens.
Paul Kirley's works have been shown on well-known TV shows such as "Two Broke Girls" and "Spread". They have been exhibited in North America, Italy, and Germany as well as collected worldwide.

Colourful, French mixed media abstract, acrylic, newsprint and ink from the 1980s. The canvas is signed and dated bottom right but we have not yet managed to decipher it.
A colourful and engaging painting crossing over styles. The colourfield elements are reminiscent of the work of Mark Rothko, three defined bands of colour in orange/pink tones vertically dissecting the painting with one horizontal band across the top, and yet the elongated depiction of the female figures within the bands remind us of Gustav Klimt and his paintings of Adele.
