Carlson uses subtle cool vs warm strokes of color and some texture in the foreground to help create a sense of depth in this beautiful little autumn painting. Comes unsigned but with estate stamp and Vose Galleries label verso. Also a Swains Art Store label from Plainfield, NJ where his wife Margaret Carlson was from.
