About the Item
Michael Vonbank is an Austrian artist known for his experimental and colorful art.
This special work shows a surreal and expressive pictorial world. Invented creatures, fantasy and motif reserves were among the leitmotifs of his work. Michael Vonbank brought ideas to the point in a matter of seconds; he was the medium and mouthpiece of his inexhaustible creative reservoir. His works, like this one, deal with ‘counter-worlds’ within the individual or socio-cultural level. Vonbank aimed to uncover and reflect on ‘counter-worlds’ that coexist in the same context, but also regularly clash. He brings all of this to the canvas in an abstract and colourful way, offering the viewer an entrance into his world of thought.
