Description:
Immerse yourself in the mysterious and captivating atmosphere created by Ramón Pichot Soler in this exquisite piece titled *Woman with Glass*. With his loose yet masterful brushstrokes and his ability to play with light and color, Pichot Soler portrays a scene that radiates sensuality and nostalgia. The female figure, enveloped in warm tones and shadows, exudes an enigmatic elegance. The contrast between the softness of her face and the vibrant red accents creates a visually compelling composition, transporting the viewer to a bohemian evening of the mid-20th century.
The delicately rendered glass in the foreground adds a symbolic dimension to the painting, inviting the observer to imagine the stories that might have unfolded in this intimate moment. This oil painting not only showcases the artist's technical skill but also his capacity to capture fleeting emotions and moments in everyday life.
About the author:
Ramón Pichot Soler, born in Barcelona in 1924, was a prominent Spanish painter rooted in the impressionist tradition. He was renowned for his ability to depict human figures and everyday scenes with poetic sensibility and technical precision. As the son of the celebrated painter Ramón Pichot Gironès, Pichot Soler was immersed in an artistic environment from an early age, shaping his unique style.
His family shared a close relationship with the legendary Salvador Dalí. Ramón Pichot Gironès, Pichot Soler's father, was a mentor and close friend of Dalí and played a key role in introducing Dalí to the Parisian art scene, which included luminaries such as Pablo Picasso and other modernist pioneers. Dalí often acknowledged the influence of the Pichot family on his artistic and personal development.
While Pichot Soler developed his own distinct style, separate from Dalí's surrealism, the familial connection with this iconic figure remains significant. The legacy of the Pichot family stands as a testament to the richness of Catalan modernist and contemporary art.

Ramon Pichot i Soler
Ramon Pichot Soler (Figueres, 1924 - 1996) belongs to a family closely linked to the arts. His father - Ricard Pichot - and his uncle Luis were closely related to music: the first cellist, disciple of Pau Casals, and the second violinist. Closer to plastic activity is his uncle Ramon, who developed his pictorial corpus at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. Following in his father's footsteps, he began his cello studies, but opted for the plastic arts upon discovering his true vocation. At that time he lived in Paris and there he began his formative stage within the post-impressionist current, a style to which he remained faithful throughout his career. Pichot was twenty years old when he exhibited for the first time. Later, through various exhibitions, he became known both in Spain and in Europe. In March 1954 he exhibited at the "Círculo de Bellas Artes" in Madrid and soon his work would be accepted in the United States, specifically in New York. He exhibited for the first time at the Trosby Gallery in Palm Beach, Florida in 1964 and two years later he exhibited at the Hammer Galleries in New York with great success, which was repeated on numerous occasions until 1981.
