About the Item

Contemporary figurative oil on canvas painting by Belarusian artist Tania Kandracienka. Painting is almost monochromatic with blue being the strongest colour. Artist didn't title her artwork but it depicts close bond and support. One person is reaching somewhere while sitting on a (probably) high fence and the other one is making sure that that person is safe. Viewer can see hands of the other person holding legs of the other one. ARTIST Tania Kandracienka (ur. 1980) She studied painting at the State Academy of Arts in Minsk in the years 1998-2004. She did a master's degree in the field of art theory and history in 2008-2011. Since 2014 she's been a professor at the Drawing Department of Belarusian State Academy of Arts. She took part in many solo and group exhibitions in Belarus and abroad. Her artworks are included in collections of the Museum of Modern Fine Arts in Minsk, Artistic Museum of Deruta (Italy) and private collections in Belarus, Poland, Germany and Italy. She offers paintings to support Ukrainian Refugees. PROVENANCE Exhibited at Katarzyna Napiorkowska Gallery. The Gallery is a primary representative for this artist. The Gallery of Katarzyna Napiorkowska is one of the first private art galleries in Poland. For over 30 years, the gallery has been presenting contemporary paintings, graphics, drawings, and sculptures. Our galleries are located in Warsaw and Brussels. The portfolio of the Gallery includes selected objects of renowned Polish artists. In 2015, our Gallery was awarded the prestigious title of the Ambassador of the Polish Economy in the European Brand category awarded by the Business Center Club. CONDITION Very good condition.
