About the Item

I went on a visit to Southampton last december and could not believe my eyes of the beautiful scenery- the boats, buildings ,riverside etc. I made some sketches in my sketch book but later decided to take pictures. This happens to be the first of my series of Southampton riverside paintings. I started with a sketch on the canvas and using some bristle brushes of various sizes i blocked every part of the canvas with colours. I re-sketched the drawing again with a thin sable brush using black colour. After most of the application of colour was with both the painting and palette knives- a favourite tool of mine to create textures. I used brushes for finishing. :: Painting :: Impressionist :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: No :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: Lower right :: Canvas :: Landscape :: :: Framed: No
