Description: This beautifully observed watercolour by British artist Tony Herbert (1927–2024) captures a quiet yet evocative moment along the banks of the River Thames. Four boys are shown fishing at the water’s edge on a misty day, their simple gestures and clothing evoking the innocence of 20th-century childhood.
