About the Item
Adding dimension to a long allee of cypress trees and the spring shadows they cast is the endless quest to select the ideal path to follow. Artist Blanche McAlister Harris sends you strolling towards the light as the trees provide both warmth and shade. While Harris' travels to Europe ensure the light and coloration are true, her skillful brushstrokes ensure the feeling of place to be true to the subject of her French impressionist landscape. A North Carolina native and resident, famed artist and teacher Kevin MacPherson has been Harris' mentor. Harris is a multiple award winning artist; among her many media credits, in 2011 an original Blanche McAlister Harris oil painting was featured in the movie "Homeland" produced by 20th Century Fox. Harris has selected a slightly distressed antique gold frame to finish her landscape; the unframed size is 40x30, framed size is 48x38.
