About the Item

Charlotte Elizabeth has been working with paint professionally for over fifteen years. Elizabeth’s training in theatre design preceded a busy career as a Theatrical Scenic Artist in London’s West End. Working with some of the best scenic artists in the world, Elizabeth created large-scale backcloths and murals for many famous venues, including The Royal Opera House, The ENO, and even the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Examples of Elizabeth’s work can be seen on stage and screen all over the world. This one-of-a-kind oil, acrylic, and metal leaf painting is 78 inches square. It is signed by Elizabeth on the front and back. The artwork does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are also available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Elizabeth's Moon Series artworks are only painted during the three days of the month when the moon is at its fullest. Elizabeth uses a special velvety black paint in this series which absorbs all light in order to better capture the energy of the moon during this period. According to Charlotte Elizabeth: “My years as a scenic artist has taught me to be bold, ambitious, and confident when working with paint. I delight in the magical transformative quality of working with layer upon layer of color, pigment, and tone. I’m inspired by the glory of nature’s elements and the drama of the skies. Every painting is a journey, layered with my identity, as a woman, an artist, a mother, a fighter, and a nurturer. My work is an instinctive, sensorial, tactile experiment where the color does the talking and I merely allow the images to reveal themselves.” EXHIBITIONS 2021-23 Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA 2020 Solo exhibition, Mayne Gallery, UK London Affordable Art Fair (AAF), UK 2019 Singapore AAF, Singapore Boutique Fair, Singapore Group show Miaja gallery, Singapore “Caught”, Miaja Gallery with SRT, Singapore Melbourne AAF, Melbourne, Australia So Sofitel, Singapore Hong Kong AAF, Hong Kong Solo Show, Miaja Gallery, Singapore 2018 Singapore AAF, Singapore Boutique Fair, Singapore Designer collective MAH, Texas

Outer Space - Turquoise Blue on Black Original Abstract Painting on Canvas
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Clara Berta’s acrylic and mixed-media paintings blend texture and color to create harmony, mystery, and depth on the painted surface. Her paintings transform spaces into Zen environments where one can quiet a cluttered mind and enjoy beauty every day. Clara Berta’s paintings explore themes such as the ebb and flow of memory, the significance of personal heritage, the passing of physical time, desire, grief, and love. This artwork measures 39 inches high by 31 inches wide. The sides of this abstract original artwork are painted as a continuation of the front. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. It may be installed vertically or horizontally. It is signed and titled by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Clara Berta explores the collision between the old and new; destruction and rebuilding lives. She began painting as an outlet of grief; creating something beautiful as the result of loss. Through her creative practice, she has found healing and further offers to her community safe spaces for troubled teens and women to heal through the meditative process of painting. Her artworks are a language, a push forward in new directions and achievements, while always inspired by history. Berta mixes minimalism with underlying texture and embraces modernism while compiling the odds and ends of her attempts to let her art speak for itself. Her abstract works often include reminders of her travels expressed in unexpected sequences of patterns as well as distortion of perspectives and subconscious spaces. Manipulating the texture with several layers of texture paste and acrylic paint, she will work and re-work her canvases, layering textures to give added dimension, and creating works that intrigue and invite the viewer to explore not only the surface but also the inner language of the painting. A passionate, award-winning artist of Hungarian heritage, Clara Berta's dynamic and highly textural abstract...

Star Trek - Large Original Abstract Painting Ready to Hang
By Bruce Rubenstein
Located in Los Angeles, CA
The paintings of Bruce Rubenstein seamlessly marry sophistication with affordability. His original art merges the creative attitudes of the two distinct art hot spots of New York and Los Angeles. Rubenstein's work has a rigid edge and strong composition but maintains organic shapes and soft colors as well. His works have a character that brightens a space. His paintings pull from abstract expressionism and cubism but maintain a contemporary edge that strikes the viewer. His work seems collectively new and timeless at once. This large affordable one-of-a-kind 42 inch high by 66 inch wide and 1.5 inch deep artwork is a mixed media composition on canvas. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. This large abstract painting is signed by the artist on the front and back of the artwork. The sides are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. Provenance: Artplex Gallery. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. While the artist has chosen to keep the price upon request, this captivating piece embodies both sophistication and exceptional value. Bruce Rubenstein specializes in large-scale artworks, using huge canvases to tell his stories. Born and raised in New York, he moved to Los Angeles in 1985. His mixed media artworks defy categorization, blending abstract forms and organic shapes with subtle hints of figures and symbols. Adrien Brody and Mickey Rourke are among Rubenstein’s collectors. Bruce Rubenstein’s artistic influences include artists from Joan Miró and Jean Arp to Gerhard Richter and Pablo Picasso. “He is an artist, and that means someone who cannot restrain the flow of ideas,” says author David Rodgers. “He is someone who they just burst out of, who cannot help but communicate, and who sees no reason to stop. He’s a man not limited by media to communicate the stories that he needs to (and must) tell, through any medium he feels necessary.” His works are represented by Artplex Gallery Los Angeles and have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including exhibitions in Austria and Israel. Galaxy: contemporary canvas painting w/ imagery of stars, sun, universe & space
By Joseph McAleer
Located in Bryn Mawr, PA
"Galaxy" is an acrylic on canvas painting with textured brushwork depicting stars and space in the universe. It is signed on the back. Edges are neatly finished and painted black, so there is no need for additional framing. Every purchase comes with a free, hardcover copy of the beautiful illustrated new book, "Joseph McAleer: Sixty Years." "Joe McAleer's paintings engage us as participants in a complex perceptual game. Comprised of contrasting patterns of color, texture, and form, which fill the canvas from edge to edge, his restless abstractions elude a fleeting encounter. Rather, they absorb our attention with rhythmic structures and visual anomalies designed to stimulate and perplex our senses. McAleer's kaleidoscopic abstractions have their basis in the humble Modernist's grid,......" - Joe Houston, Author "Optic Nerve, Perceptual Art of the 1960s"; Curator, Hallmark Art Collection. McAleer is an artist and lifelong educator based in NJ. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rowan University, and has exhibited his work up and down the east coast, including major solo exhibitions at Bridgette Mayer Gallery and Locks Gallery...
