About the Item
This painting was painted from life on a winter Venetian morning. It is a view from the Zattere embankment onto the Giudecca Canal and the island of the same name in the distance. We see a row of houses. These are not typical Venetian palazzos, but, at first glance, unremarkable ordinary buildings. The red brick buildings are former factory buildings. Now they house artists' studios. To the right of them are the silhouettes of construction cranes. In this non-museum part of Venice, something periodically changes and is built. Most of the motif is occupied by turquoise and emerald water. In the distance, a boat floats, leaving a foamy trail. The main "character" not only in the foreground, but also, perhaps, in the entire work, can be considered the wooden piles of the pier blackened and covered with moss near the water. In front of us is a typical Venice, little known to tourists who walk the beaten paths.
The painting is sold without a frame. The sides are not painted. It will serve as a good gift and perfectly decorates home interior: a living room or an office.
The gallery presents Dmitry Yevtushenko, a professional artist who lives and works in Germany. Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In art, he prefers to follow the traditions of craftsmanship, multiplied by direct impressions from what he has seen and experienced. And never stops improving his craftsmanship and artistic language.
Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
