About the Item
This artwork depicts a cozy corner of the ancient German city of Aschaffenburg. A winter day with such a rare phenomenon for Europe as snow. Snow falls and covers the old paving stones, the tiled roofs of the houses on both sides of the landscape and the main cathedral of the city with a bell tower. At the same time, the entire motif seems to be painted in the silvery colors of a winter day. The cathedral is partially covered by the bare branches of a tree growing behind the building on the left. They are also covered with snow. Near the cathedral in perspective is a figure of a passing passerby. Overall, the work creates a romantic mood.
