About the Item
Signed by the painter as Ed Warren, this painting is the artistic expression of famed American paranormal investigator and author, Edward "Ed" Warren Miney (1926-2006). With his wife Lorraine, Warren developed public interest in such alleged paranormal phenomena (or hauntings), which ultimately became films such as the “Amityville Horror,” and “The Haunted” and additionally in the Perron Family as depicted in The Conjuring films.
Following his US naval service during World War II, Warren attended art school and continued to paint, focusing on New England landscapes and older structures. However, in his early investigative work he was said to create his paintings as a means to target a potentially haunted property, offering the finished piece to the owners in exchange for information and access.
