This piece reflects the dark menacing cloudscapes over the moors on a dark winters day, I like to use colour to emphasise the dramatic landscapes and to give an element of energy to the piece. Even on the dark days there is beauty to behold. I have used mixed media of acrylics, watercolour and inks on paper. This painting is mounted with a white mount ready for your choice of frame.

Elaine Fox - Artist - Painter Elaine Fox's work is available for sale online or in our gallery at Wychwood Art. I love being in nature and concentrate on using paint as a vehicle to convey the intimacy of my surroundings and the sense of belonging and affinity with landscape. The landscape drives me to capture atmosphere when I am in wild places and I use these feelings and experiences in a very loose and ephemeral way to create my own personal view of the landscape. Most of my work is completed in the studio after drawing and painting outdoors.
