Enric Beltrán Messa (Valencia, 1940 – 2006) was a Spanish painter known for his landscapes and urban scenes. He studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos in Valencia and later at the Sant Jordi School in Barcelona. He enriched his education through artistic travels to cities such as Paris, Rome, Vienna, and London. Most of his career unfolded in Catalonia, particularly in the town of Besalú (Girona).
He exhibited in numerous Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Sabadell, and Torroella de Montgrí. His works are part of private collections in Germany, France, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.
Beltrán Messa’s style is distinguished by his delicate color harmonies—predominantly greens, yellows, and ochres—and his ability to capture the mood of rural landscapes, rivers, mountains, and city life. He also experimented with mixed techniques such as collage, often incorporating newspaper clippings to add narrative and texture to his compositions.
