About the Item
John Lawson 1868-1909, was a Scottish landscape painter who exhibited a number of paintings at the Royal Scottish Academy. Lawson worked in sculpture, glass design and illustrator, clearly a multi talented artist who painted this Scottish woodland scene probably during the 1890's. Enclosed are pictures of before and after the cleaning which shows the depth of vision Lawson had to create such works.
