About the Item
Mario Reggio is a contemporary Roman painter with an extraordinary ability to interpret his hometown in an innovative and metaphysical way.
While Mario Reggio’s favourite subject is his hometown, which he knows and lives intimately, the subjects of his paintings comprehend views of other Italian cities such as Milan and Florence. Reggio’s creative originality is characterized by his ability to combine a realistic representation of his subjects with the use of metaphysical colours instead of real ones. His superb palette of colours is what both distinguishes him from those ones trying to imitate him, and determined his commercial success. Mario Reggio’s artworks are part of important private and public collections. Bulgari is one of his leading collectors. He also had more than eighty solo exhibitions, among which, one at the glamour Benetton Foundation and another one at Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation (both in 2015). Mario Reggio is represented by the Milanese gallery Salamon fine art.

Mauro Reggio
Mauro Reggio (Rome, 1971) graduated at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome in 1993. Since 1992 he began to exhibit his works. The subjects of his paintings are always urban landscapes. In October 2001 he was selected for the Premio Giovani 2001 – Pittura of the National Academy of San Luca. The solo art exhibitions regarding his artworks are almost one hundred, in the most prestigious Italian and international places, and museums. His works were commissioned by the Starwood company for the St. Regis hotel in Rome and placed in the Grand Hall Cafè, in the restaurant and in the Bottega Veneta Suite. Bulgari s.p.a. purchased and placed his work in stores in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and in the headquarter in Rome. The Senate of the Italian Republic bought three large paintings for its permanent collection, two of which placed in the Sala dello Struzzo, and one commissioned for the central wall of the press conference room in Palazzo Madama.

Green and white lake landscape with canoe and forest watercolour painting
By Nicola Magrin
Located in Milan, IT
"North #04" is a beautiful impression of Nicola Magrin's travel to Alaska in 2019. The work was created by Nicola Magrin during a trip with Italian writer Paolo Cognetti on the trail of Chris McCandless. A film was born from their journey: "Sogni di Grande Nord" (Dreams of the Great North, 2021).
A passionate traveler, Nicola Magrin knows how to transfer his experiences and emotions onto paper, filtering them through his intimate world. Synthesis and immediacy are combined under the skillful control of the watercolour technique, in which he has achieved international fame.
Nicola Magrin was born in Milan in 1978. In 2004 he graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan with a thesis on Miquel Barceló.
In 2008 he was selected for a three-month Artist in Residence in New York (U.S.A.) at the Harlem Studio Fellowship by MontrasioArte.
Since then he has built a full and authentic artistic career, alongside significant contributions to literary illustration. Among them must be mentioned the covers for Paolo Cognetti's books: "Le otto montagne" (2016) and "Senza mai arrivare in cima" (2018); "Il silenzio" by Erling Kagge (2016), "Le antiche vie" by Robert Macfarlane (2013). He is also responsible for all the covers of the Tiziano Terzani books published by TEA and Primo Levi...

"Being There" Original Oil Painting by Robert White, Frameless Display
Located in Encino, CA
“Being There,” an original oil on canvas by Robert K. White, is a piece for the true collector. White’s careful attention to detail and vivid use of browns and reds project from the painting, immediately capturing the viewer's attention and highlighting the artist's keen ability to capture emotion and life - all in a brushstroke. White's talent for depicting light and shadow provides the foundation for him to deliver subjects and scenes to the viewer's eye. This masterful work would make a great addition to an art collection and enhance most any home, perfect for those who have an affinity for cityscapes, theater, and architecture.
In the artist’s own words, “I don’t paint what is inside of me; I paint what I see outside of me. I’m an observer. If I see something and I feel an affinity for it, something just clicks in my head. I’ll make the decision right then and there to paint that particular subject during that particular moment. It’s a perfect moment. Once something has caught my eye and I’ve heard the “perfect” click, it’s like a photograph has been taken in my mind’s eye. I only have a few days of clarity with that image. I have to start the painting quickly or else it will be gone and I will lose that image forever.”
