Artist Commentary: This painting is dominated by a sky filled with variegated and undulating storm clouds broken by the light of an unseen sun. The hillside below is scattered with typical Seattle dwellings whose lighted windows suggest residents within taking shelter from the storm. The weather, the sky, the changing light and colors as well as the infinite variety and beauty of plant and animal life all find their way into her work. She hopes that her work will serve as a visual oasis in your home and provide many hours of pleasure and peace. Megan attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle and has been creating art professionally since 1989. Her paintings have been shown at the Tacoma Art Museum, Lynwood Library Gallery, South Seattle Community College Gallery, Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton, Washington, Euphorium gallery and The State Theater in Olympia, Washington, Verite and the WET Gallery at the Washington Ensemble Theater in Seattle, Washington.
