Creek Through The Trees - Oil on Canvas
Impressionist painting of a creek running through a grove of trees by Michelle Marco (American). A grove of trees surrounds a small creek that runs through the middle of the painting. Hues of yellows and greens make up the trees and grasslands, while the sky is made up of light blues and whites.
Signed "Michelle Marco" lower right.
Michelle Marco was born in Northern California, and attended Modesto Junior College and the University of California, Stanislaus. Self taught, she started painting at a young age, teaching herself new techniques, while attending local workshops to further her education.
Marco eventually settled in Mariposa, California, focusing her art on landscapes and nature scenes, primarily plein air. Her art focuses on what's in front of her as well as an added dimension to create a more unique contrast.
Marco's work can be viewed at The Mariposa Arts Council in Mariposa, California as well as at the California State Capital. She continues to paint in Mariposa, as well as teach art to students.
