About the Item
"Spiritual Energy" is a captivating semi-abstract masterpiece by French artist Natalya Mougenot, evoking a vibrant connection to nature through an explosion of color and dynamic brushwork. Inspired by the landscapes of Provence and the impressionistic style of Vincent Van Gogh, the painting showcases a Cypress tree as a central symbol of vitality and nature’s deep-rooted energy. Rendered in rich green and blue tones, the tree stands as an emblem of life’s constant flow, surrounded by vibrant bursts of red and yellow that hint at lively foliage and blossoms.
Mougenot's expressive, thick brushstrokes infuse the composition with movement and emotion, drawing the viewer into a visual experience that embodies nature's powerful vitality. The background, a serene blend of muted greens and blues, contrasts the tree’s energy, creating a sense of tranquility and space, akin to a distant sky or sweeping landscape. The painting’s fluid composition, rich textures, and interplay of light and shadow further enhance its captivating, almost tactile quality.
"Spiritual Energy" embodies a modern twist on traditional landscape painting through its impressionist abstract style, merging classic influences with a contemporary sensibility. Mougenot’s deeply personal approach to landscape painting involves immersing herself in a single setting, using every brushstroke to convey the emotional essence of the place. The result is an artwork that invites reflection, offering a unique interpretation of nature that speaks to both the heart and mind.
Crafted with oil paints on premium, heavyweight 300g Fabriano paper, this original artwork boasts a luxurious texture that enriches the vibrancy of the colors and the depth of the forms. Unframed for flexibility in display, it allows collectors to choose a frame that best complements their individual style and home decor. To preserve the painting's longevity, framing under glass is recommended.
The artwork is signed by the artist on the front and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its originality and value. It will be securely packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, carefully wrapped in layers of bubble wrap to guarantee safe delivery. Once dispatched, tracking information will be provided.
About the Artist: Natalya Mougenot, born in 1981 in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and now based in Lyon, France, draws on her multicultural background to shape her artistic vision. Having grown up in the Soviet era and later moving to France, she discovered painting as a form of emotional expression and personal therapy. Through her art, Mougenot explores themes of resilience, empowerment, and modern identity, often focusing on women’s experiences and the complexities of life. Her works, which range from floral compositions and landscapes to portraits, reflect a profound blend of hope, struggle, and the raw emotions that define her journey.
Her distinctive style, informed by her background in music, photography, and international relations, invites viewers to reflect on their own personal journeys and connect with the emotional depth within each piece. Through "Spiritual Energy," Mougenot offers a rich, abstract interpretation of nature, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in a vibrant, ever-changing world of color and emotion.

Natalya is a contemporary artist from Lyon, France. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes and low mountains. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis when she was struggling with radical life changes. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. Several years ago painting became more than a hobby. It became a way of expressing her emotions and visions, a successive reaction to events of either personal or general concern. Her artist statement: “ I paint as it’s a necessity for my soul to express itself. Being creative for me is overcoming the restrictions. My art is a piece of my soul. I hope my art inspires reflection, provides a release and forms connection at other people’s souls”. She has developed her own vision of art through practicing a lot. She makes use of varying degrees of figuration, abstraction and impressionism by adding a contemporary twist. Abstract art for her is an interesting challenge for understanding inner feelings, a self-expression based on an intuitive approach. In figurative art her main subject remains women. Her artworks representing women contain the raw emotions of women. She also communicates the importance and the power of strong female relationships: “Women are enriched when they bond with each other”. She works in series: among them are "Heart-mind connection" of abstract artworks, "Women", "Bond", "Florals", "Springtime"... She uses various mediums ( acrylic, oil, watercolor, oil pastels) to create her unique artworks either on canvas or on paper. But she mainly uses acrylic as she works very quickly and expressively by finishing her artwork in one sitting. If Natalya had to pick one quote about her art, she would say : " Art is the reflection of the soul". Natalya goes with her gut and intuition to choose the colors, the lines, the shapes and the texture. She hopes her artworks will give a home a unique personality by filling it with life and color. Her sources of inspirations are Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, George-Daniel de Monfreid, Paul Gauguin. She also admires the artworks of Joan Mitchell and Banksy.
