Artist Biography: Born in 1954 in Perpignan, Denis Ribas draws inspiration from his Catalan heritage and a childhood infused with his father's passion for nature. Painting exclusively outdoors, Ribas uses pure linen canvas, manually nailed, stretched, and coated. The paint itself adheres to multi-centenary techniques, with supplies sourced from Bruno Charvin's workshop, Denis Ribas' preferred and exclusive supplier. Notably, a yellow hue in the palette has been christened "Jaune Ribas." The thickly applied paint and the expansive color palette harmonize to create a captivating piece of contemporary art.
