Winter is one of the most challenging seasons of the year in terms of scenic qualities. When snow falls, everything looks the same white. But this is deceiving. Almost impossible to find pure white snow. It is filled with a huge number of complex shades. The artist Dmitriev especially likes to paint winter rivers. The dark river bed is a very beautiful part of the landscape. Nikolay believes, that contrasting elements are very important in a winter landscape.
The plein air painting is author's and original. It is signed on the front and back.
