Capturing a moment in time dockside in a bayside town, PC Sheppard brings us into a slower pace of life. A leisure boat can be seen moored to the dock with its captain seated looking to the town. This sketch sized piece is exemplifies the character PC Sheppard was able to communicate in is work with bold oil paint complimenting attention to detail.

Artist Bio:
Peter Clapham Sheppard was born in Toronto in 1879. He worked as a commercial illustrator and painted Ontario landscapes on the side. A student of the Central Ontario School of Art and Industrial Design under notable artists George Reid, John William Beatty, and William Cruickshank.
He became a member of the Ontario Society of Artists in 1918 and was made an Associate of the Royal Canadian Academy in 1929. His work is held in collections including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Canadian War Museum and the National Gallery of Canada.
