About the Item
Yellow Back - a beautiful study using Angela's idiosyncratic use of colour to wonderful effect.
Angela was born in 1946 and studied art at Kingston Art College, London. Her early career was predominantly spent designing sets for rock bands. This connection with the flourishing world of rock music took Angela to Wales where she was to run a recording studio for many years. Latterly she has returned to the art world and after some successful exhibitions in the West Country of England she has settled upon depicting figures. Angela has a beautiful and unusual way of using colour and her figurative works are sublime.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1921, artist Norman Rubington studied at the Yale School of Fine Arts and Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris where he participated in a number of group exhibitions and his first solo show at the Salon d'Automne in 1948, which received high acclaim.
