Today I give you late autumn. Drink the bitter black wine of the rains. Breathe in the golden pollen of the last leaves. Any autumn is a magical red fox, circling her head with a round dance of leaf fall, or a sad gray-eyed stranger who covered her pale wet lips with a fan of bare branches. She is not in muddy puddles, not in wet boots, not in drops of water on the windows and faces, not in the cries of flying birds, no ... Autumn is in the human soul. Like spring, summer, any season, any weather. And therefore, to the same rain, someone with joy and a premonition of purification will substitute his hands, and the other will frown heavily, brush his sadness into a random stream and tighten his cloak. The weather is in us, and the rain... it just comes. Deprived of shades of good and evil, joy and sadness. Rain falls through our souls. Today I give you late autumn, wrapped in a wrapper of the words of your favorite book. Take it and remember that what this strange gift will become, a slight smile or a dreary look out the window, depends only on you.
