👨🎨 ABOUT THE ARTIST
Frederic Lloveras Herrera was born in Barcelona in 1912 and trained at the city’s School of Fine Arts. He became well-known for his lyrical impressionist style, especially in watercolor and oil. His work often focused on Mediterranean harbors, street scenes, and coastal landscapes, marked by luminous palettes and expressive brushwork.
He exhibited in major galleries in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, and Geneva, and his paintings are included in both public and private collections across Europe. Throughout his career, Lloveras received several awards and remains an important figure in 20th-century Catalan painting.

Frederic Lloveras Herrera
Frederick L. Herrera (1912-1983) was a Spanish painter, illustrator and watercolorist. He is considered one of the best representatives of postwar Catalan watercolor and is related stylistically to the Expressionist movement. He studied at the Circle Artistic de Sant Llc and at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts. He participated in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts in 1942, 1944 and 1948. In 1971 he had an individual exhibition at Sala Gaspar. He was a friend of Griera, Josep Cruanans, Josep Granyer and Emili Grau Sala, among other contemporary painters.

Cartoonist linked to Editorial Bruguera and its agency Creaciones Editoriales. She got her start drawing girls' or adventure comics in Stories and the Sissi Graphic Novel Supplement. Much of her work from the 1960s was aimed at the European market for young women's magazines through the Selecciones Ilustradas agency. Anecdotally, he collaborated with Marvel Comics, drawing a romantic comic based on a script by Stan Lee for the title My Love (later republished in Our Love Story), credited there as Enrique Monserratt.
He retired from comics in the 1980s to focus on painting.
He was also an Olympic gymnast, a member of the Barcelona Gymnastics Center and the Barcino Tennis Club.
