Vladimir Borisovich Glushenkov (May 21, 1948, Riga - December 26, 2009, Riga.) - painter, graphic artist, poet, translator.
Born in Riga in a Russian-Polish-German family.
Vladimir Glushenkov graduated from the Riga Applied School (sculpture class) and the Art Academy of Latvia with a degree in scenography (1976). Participated in exhibitions since the late 1960s. From 1976 to 1996 - set designer at Latvian Television. Designed performances in the Riga National, Art (Dailes) and post-Youth (under the chief director O. Shkatov) theaters, in the independent theater "Kabata", painted multi-meter street posters for the cinemas "Riga" and "Spartak", in the 70s - Illustrator of the magazine "Liesma".

Vladimir Glushenkov (May 21, 1948, Riga - December 26, 2009, Riga) - painter, graphic artist, poet, translator. Vladimir Glushkenkov was born in family with Russian-Polish-German roots. V. Glushenkovs graduated from the Riga School of Applied Arts (sculpture class) and the Art Academy of Latvia with a degree in scenography (1976). The artist has participated in exhibitions since the late 1960s. From 1976 to 1996 - Latvian Television artist set designer. V. Glushenkovs has performed at the Latvian National and Theater "Daile", as well as at the post-Youth Theater (in the time of the chief director O. Škatov), at the independent theater “Kabata”; he has designed large-format posters for the cinemas "Riga" and "Spartaks". In the 1970s, he was an illustrator for the magazine Liesma.

Jules Van Biesbroeck was the son of Jules Evariste van Biesbroeck, a painter of Ghent, but was born in Italy, in Portici, near Naples, while his parents were staying there. (In the 19th century many artists made educational trips to Italy). It was a long visit: the child was two years old by the time the family returned to Ghent.[1]
After a short period of practice with his father, van Biesbroeck was enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. His first painting, "The Shepherd" (French: Le pâtre), was sold at the Triennale in Ghent. In 1888, when he was only 15 years old, he made his debut at the "Salon des Champs-Elysées" in Paris with his monumental work "The Launch of the Argo" (French: Le lancement...
