Captured during a trip to California, the artist encountered this Cadillac on a quiet street just off Hollywood Blvd. In recalling the moment, she reminisced about the ambiance as if it were lifted from a dream—an almost deserted street, the Cadillac harmonizing with a vibrant wall, basking in the sun, and collectively creating an ethereal atmosphere.
In translating this memory into art, she reimagined the original photograph, employing a fluid distortion technique that imparts a sinuous, undulating quality to the car. This deliberate transformation aims to accentuate the piece’s overarching theme, encapsulating an ambiance suspended between the realms of dream and reality.
