Recently I have been painting various versions of a bull that is traditionally decorated during sankranthi. I am touched with Indian culture and tradition and since past many years I have been working on this bull series and its also symbolic image of "SANKRANTI" festival. My childhood my village are the reasons for this gangireddu. I lived in a village for twenty five years and am strongly connected to my village and my roots there.And I have chosen Gangireddu because I found it very interesting with beautiful traditional elements in it. Tony lived with his grandmother when he was a child. He has seen many Peranakan tableware at her house. Although the artist is not the descendent of Peranakan, he is deeply influenced by multicultural environment in his growth background. Peranakan is not just one symbol of diverse cultures in Malaysia, but is more about an emotional connection between grandmother and him. This is a painting of a Kamcheng sitting on a batik. The edges of the painting has gold plates finishing.
