Illustrated in The Andy Warhol Diaries by Andy Warhol. Edited by Pat Hackett, Warner Books, 1991. Roy Halston Frowick, known as Halston, was a fashion designer whose aesthetic made an impact on 1970s disco culture. Through design, art, fame, and nightlife, Halston and Warhol became close friends. In the late 70s Andy spent a lot of time at Halston’s home, saying, “This is the way I wish my house looked… Really modern and really empty.” This is a unique work. Image dimensions: 8 x 10 in. Framed dimensions: 16 x 18 in. Work is framed to archival standards by Handmade Frames of Brooklyn, New York. Stamped twice on the reverse by both The Estate of Andy Warhol and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts inventory number written on verso. The work comes with either a Certificate of Provenance or Certificate of Authenticity from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
