About the Item
Rebecca Skinner’s “Unaccompanied” was photographed in an abandoned train repair yard. A rusty hose reel leaves a black shadow along the graffiti filled wall behind it with warm orange tones. The 18 x 12 inch photo with satin finish is infused directly into metal making it waterproof and easy to clean. This frameless metal print is wired and ready to hang. The artist’s signature is located on the back. With breathtaking depth, true vibrant color and amazing detail “Unaccompanied” makes an excellent addition to your home or office. Edition of 5.
This image is also available upon request as an acid-free, archival, paper print. Traditional prints are done on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Paper featuring a 100% cotton base with a very finely textured gloss surface finish.

Rebecca Skinner
Rebecca Skinner photographs abandoned spaces throughout the United States. She is a modern-day urban explorer seeking unique neglected structures and desolate places. Her subject matter ranges from large, cavernous spaces to minute details such as peeling paint and rust. Her locations are often dangerous to photograph in, whether because of rotten floors, falling plaster or asbestos (requiring a respirator), so she never goes alone. Skinner brings to her work a strong ethic of leaving a location exactly as found. She does not stage her photographs—there is a story there to be told and she does not alter it. She uses natural light and a tripod for the images. Texture, color and light all play important parts in her image making. Skinner is a core artist member of Fountain Street Gallery in Boston and a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. Artscope and Upworthy are among the publications that have featured her work.

Glendale Power Station (Contemporary Photograph of an Abandoned Interior)
By Elliott Kaufman
Located in Hudson, NY
Contemporary color photograph of the interior of an abandoned power station
35 x 25 inches unframed
41.5 x 31.5 inches in white wood frame with AR non-glare glass
This contemporary photograph of an abandoned theater interior was captured by New York based photographer, Elliott Kaufman, in 2005. Here the artist highlights the beautiful crumbling interior of the Glendale Power Station in Yonkers, NY. The photograph is complimented with a custom white wood frame measuring 41.5 x 31.5 inches. There is wiring on the back for installation.
About the series:
Elliott Kaufman conveys the haunting magnificence of forgotten buildings in the Abandoned series. Architectural marvels once home to heartbreaking operas, spectacular gatherings, or a loving family now sit vacant and linger in fading memories of the past with each new crack of paint, crumbling brick, or falling beam. Through his lens, Kaufman captures the remnants of these majestic structures, romanticizing what once was for viewers in the present day. This series won 2nd place in the ASMP National Competition.
