(image) Print on Arches The work we propose is a lithograph printed before the letter for the poster of Chagall's exhibition at the Musée National Message Biblique Marc Chagall in Nice from July to September 1974. Entitled "Maquettes pour l'œuvre monumental", the exhibition presents the models and sketches of the stained glass windows that Chagall elaborated for the cathedral of Metz from 1958 to 1968. This enormous project was an opportunity for the artist to represent passages from the Bible, a theme that had been dear to him since the art dealer Ambroise Vollard asked him to illustrate the sacred text in 1930.
