Rare coveted silkscreen in museum quality frame: Allen Jones Red Feat (Lloyd, 73), 1976 Lithograph on Arches paper Hand signed, dated and numbered 49/60 in pencil recto, with Landfall Press' distinctive blind stamp. Frame included: matted and framed in hand made museum quality wood frame with UV plexiglass Published by Landfall Press Printed by Jack Lemon, Landfall Press, Chicago with the publisher's original blind stamp. This vintage silkscreen - hand signed and numbered - was published in a limited edition of only 60 - and many are now in major museum collections (i.e. the Tate), so it is quite an uncommon and desirable print. The work is presently held in a hand made museum frame with UV plexiglass. and ready to hang. A rich, bright impression. A really dynamic, quite and very dramatic print. He was awarded the Prix des Jeunes Artistes at the 1963 Paris Biennale. He is a Senior Academician at the Royal Academy of Arts. In 2017 he returned to his home town to receive the award Honorary Doctor of Arts from Southampton Solent University Jones has taught at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg, the University of South Florida, the University of California, the Banff Center School of Fine Arts in Canada, and the Berlin University of the Arts. His works reside in a number of collections; including the Tate, the Museum Ludwig, the Warwick Arts Centre and the Hirshhorn Museum. His best known work Hatstand, Table and Chair, involving fibreglass "fetish" mannequins, debuted to protests in 1970.

(None of the works from the edition of 2000 were ever signed by Oldenburg.) Hand signed editions are rarely if ever seen on the marketplace. This original lithograph, splayed across two pages, is from the Deluxe edition of the legendary 1 Cent Life Portfolio, one of the most important and celebrated artistic collaborations of the 1960s. Chinese American artist and writer Walasse Ting, in collaboration with Sam Francis, assembled a group of the most significant Pop and Abstract Expressionist artists in America, including Pop Artist Claes Oldenburg, along with the European COBRA artists to create the definitive artistic portfolio, with text by Walasse Ting. The Deluxe edition, which features hand signed prints was published in a limited edition of only 100. This is one of them.
