Notes: Published by Jackie Fine Arts, and approved and stamped by the Picasso Estate. This original Lithograph was created on hand drawn lithographic plates after Pablo Picasso's painting under the supervision of Marcel Salinas, the renowned chromist who worked closely with Picasso during the artist's lifetime. The image was chosen by Marina Picasso, Picasso's granddaughter, from his paintings she inherited from the Estate of Pablo Picasso. The edition consists of 500 pencil numbered pieces, plus proofs, and it was approved and pencil signed by Marina Picasso. It was produced on 100% acid free museum quality Arches paper.
PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973) Spanish painter and sculptor is one of the most recognized figures of twentieth century art. During his artistic career, which lasted more than 75 years, he created thousands of works using all kinds of mediums. He changed art more profoundly than any other artist of his time. First famous for pioneering cubism, Picasso continued to develop his art with a pace and vitality comparable to the accelerated technological and cultural changes of the twentieth century. Each change embodied a radical idea, and might be said that Picasso lived several artistic lifetimes.
