Hand signed and dedicated in red pencil. Signed on plate top left.
Ardengo Soffici was an Italian painter, intellectual, poet and writer. He was an exponent of the Futurism even if his relationship with the movement had some moments of hostility.
This drypoint was exhibited in Florence in 1927 (II Esposizione Internazionale dell’ Incisione Moderna) and in Paris in 1930 (Exposition de la gravure et de la médaille italienne contemporaine).
In 1913, Soffici founded with Papini the Futurist magazine "Lacerba" where he published "Theory of the movement of plastic Futurism".
