About the Item
The Last Youngs of July of 1830 is original lithography artwork on paper realized in 1836 by Camille Roqueplan (1802 - 1855) artist of the XIX century.
Titled on the lower center in France.
The state of preservation of the artwork is good and some diffused foxing and folding along the margins, which does not affect the image.
The artwork represents young revolutionary figures with guns while resisting, in different scenery of the resistance, outside in the city and indoor and in squire with the flag, the title intentionally indicates to the dramatic events of the 1830 and the role of revolutionary in those days. the figures depicted through intense black, the artwork is created skillfully through quick and confident strokes. The French Revolution of 1830, also known as the July Revolution (révolution de Juillet), Second French Revolution or Trois Glorieuses in French ("Three Glorious [Days]"), led to the overthrow of King Charles X, the French Bourbon monarch. The historical evidence in the artwork is admirable.
